Smallwood Insurance supports the programs initiated by various community charities. Some of these programs are:
Spreading Breast Cancer Awareness
According to U.S. Breast Cancer figures, there will be around 252,710 new cases of breast cancer in women for 2017. We believe that we should not stand on the sidelines regarding this issue, which is why we kicked off with a community cause program aimed at increasing support and awareness for patients and survivors of breast cancer. We hope that this program will educate the medically underserved on the significance of breast health and cancer prevention through early detection.
Helping Oyster Recovery Partnership (ORP)
The goal of Oyster Recovery Partnership is to help with oyster monitoring, restoration, and adaptive management. We support Oyster Recovery Partnership and its cause by serving as conservation and prevention ambassadors. By doing so, we protect the livelihood of our community and defend our limited resources.
Building Better Days for Local Kids
Building Better Days is a nonprofit charity that gives building toys to hospitalized children. We support this charity as we hope that the building toys can take the children’s minds away from the procedures and treatments that they need to go through. We also hope that the toys will bring hospitalized kids to share their creations with other patients.
Advocating a Lively Lifestyle in Baltimore
The Downtown Baltimore Family Alliance (DBFA)’s goal is to help Baltimore families succeed, as it believes that communities prosper when families thrive. It works hard to make families aware of the resources available to them by hosting seminars, workshops, and other events that connect families to the needed resources. Smallwood Insurance highly supports the mission of DBFA. We want to have an impact on nearby and local families by making sure they get the quality of life they deserve.
